Activities for Couples’ Romantic Getaway
A trip to Boyden Valley Winery just 5 minutes outside town is essential. Additionally, summer romancers can walk to the most wonderful swimming spot on the crystal clear Brewster, or hike trials to pick wild raspberries and see the covered bridge. Active couples should explore the Long Trail and Lamoille River kayaking. Our property also offers 8 acres of hillside for hiking and snowshoe.
Winter Getaways for Couples
Winter is awesome - ski, sled, snowshoe or even rent snow mobiles - none more than 10 minutes away. Smugglers Notch Ski Resort, Jay Peak Ski Resort, Bolton Valley and Stowe Ski Area are all a very easy drive.
Smuggs Ski Resort is less than 10 minutes by car, normally no 4x4 needed. We are on the only road to the Resort and it stays cleared most of the time. Sleigh rides are about as romantic as it gets and our family only uses La Joie Stables for winter horseback riding and sleigh rides. We’ll help arrange whatever you have in mind.
